Greenhouse facility
Hishtil SA has over 5ha of greenhouse facilities covered with Insect Proof netting. This provides an insect proof chain throughout the growing period of the seedlings ensuring the farmer receives clean, insect free seedlings.
Straight Roots
Patented ‘Straight Root’ system – encourages a full, straight root system that settles down quicker after transplant and forms a strong root system in the soil with minimum transplant shock.
Easy does it!
Hishtil seedlings are delivered in their trays as seedlings should not be out of their trays for any length of time. This helps reduce transplant shock. Once planting is complete trays and cages are collected from the farm.
Optimum Treatment
Hishtil SA seedlings are given an optimized pre-delivery treatment of fertilizer and chemicals that will see them through their first few days in the field. This helps them to establish better before the farmer starts his regular chemical program.
